Timbercreek Asset Management Inc. believes that successful long-term investing in an alternative asset class is about identifying and buying assets in inefficient markets. In Timbercreek’s opinion, the Canadian transitional mortgage lending industry is an example of an inefficient market where supply does not meet demand and where there is opportunity to source and acquire quality mortgage loans at prices that generate yields that are greater than the risk would ordinarily demand.

Timbercreek has built a full-service debt management group to support its growth in this area. The company’s debt platform consists of a team of mortgage professionals focused on:

Timbercreek currently manages a publicly traded investment fund, Timbercreek Mortgage Investment Corporation (TMIC), that was established to capitalize on these inefficiencies by providing Customized Loans to qualified real estate investors.
